Jeffreys Bay

One of the world's best-known right-hand point breaks, and a relaxed beach town built around it on the Sunshine Coast.

Jeffreys Bay lies about an hour west of Gqeberha along the N2. Supertubes is the wave that made its name, and the town hosts an international surfing event each winter.

Outside the surf, it is a straightforward holiday town: long swimming beaches, factory shops, and easy access to St Francis Bay, Cape St Francis and the Tsitsikamma further west.

Why people come to Jeffreys Bay

  • Supertubes and the Jeffreys Bay point breaks
  • Long swimming beaches and shell-collecting
